ISS Transit Prediction Plots

This page provides a program which can convert an ISS Transit Prediction text file to a Google Maps plot file.

ISS Transit Prediction text files can be obtained from either my ISS Transit Prediction program or from Thomas Fly's ISS Transit Prediction Alert Service e-mail messages.

To convert an ISS Transit Prediction text file to a Google Maps plot file, make sure you have the ISS Transit Prediction saved to your hard drive as a text file, then to display the prediction path map follow these steps:

  1. Run the ISS Transit Prediction Path Plotter, requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 1.5 or better.
  2. Open the prediction text file from within the plotter program,
  3. Select the directory in which the plotter program will store the output plot files,
  4. Save the plot files.  The plotter program generates a file called "path.goo" which is used below to generate the map,
  5. Once you have run the plotter program and saved the "path.goo" file, click here to display the map.

For additional details push the "Help" button from within the plotter program.
