ISS Transit Predictions

New ISS Transit Prediction for Android New

The ISS Transit Prediction program allows a user to generate a transit prediction for any satellite for their specific location.  This program requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 8.0 or better.  Additional system requirements can be found here.  This program is based on the software originally developed by Thomas Fly

The program creates the following types of files:

    1. a transit prediction text file.  This text file follows roughly the same format used by Thomas Fly's ISS Transit Prediction Alert Service,
    2. a Google Earth plot file which can be displayed within the Google Earth program,
    3. a Google Maps plot file which can be displayed here,

Optional data files which the program can use to more accurately compute the predictions can be found here.

First time users, should read the details page to find out how to run the program and about the user requirements.  Help is also available within the program.
